March 12, 2006. Pavel Safarik's winter project:

Project New Sting

I’m constructing new model. Based on last year design with improvements.

Main goal is: Make it lighter. The old model has 10.5 lbs, the new one should stay below 10 lbs. I’m using only selected wood. Result is expected around the middle of April.

Every thing is just balsa, plywood with Kevlar enforcement..

April 9th updates from Pavel:

I’m so far that I can start to cover the plane. Here are some pictures before I started with the covering work: 

I installed the engine for check, result; my YS160DZ fits there like a butt on the chamber pot. (It was no surprise, the fuselage width is 195 mm and so no magic was required to accomplish it…)
