VRCMS Precision Aerobatics
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Written by Gordon Anderson, NSRCA District 8 Vice President

Dave Villwock and Gordon Anderson from D8 attended the VRCMS Precision Aerobatics Contest held near Victoria, British Columbia. As far as we can tell Dave and Gordon are the first Americans to make the trip to Canada to attend this event. I will not go into much detail on this event because Dave Reaville will be reporting all the details in his K-Factor column.

The trip to Victoria included a beautiful ferry ride from the main land. Dave Villwock was lucking enough to see whales swimming near the ferry on his crossing!

This event had 21 contests with pilots in all classes including FAI. The weather was pretty good and we flew 4 rounds on Saturday and 2 more on Sunday. This event included a diner at the field Saturday night that was a lot of fun. Lots of people work very hard to make this event a huge success and we appreciate their hospitality. I expect we will see more D8 pilots in Victoria next year!

See you in the pits…
