The Northwest Model Expo held in Pullayup, Washington has traditionally marked the start of the season. This event has been held in early February for the last 20 plus years. This year due to scheduling problems, the expo was canceled! This did not settle well with John Foglesong. He mobilized a team that developed a new show and held it at the Monroe, Washington Fair Grounds on March 24th and 25th. John pulled this off in about two months! The Monroe facilities are a bit smaller than Pullayup. John managed to fill the fair grounds with lots of modeling attractions plus some additional entertainment, including battle bots! All and all this was a very impressive event he sold out all the swap-n-shop tables and vendor booths. John provided the D8 NSRCA with a booth to help spread the word about Pattern in the Northwest. This is the second year we have run a booth at the Expo and we had a great deal of interest. We provided information on Pattern and advertised upcoming events.
